3D Cut Paper Sculptures

One of my non-computer related specialties is creating 3D cut paper sculptures and illustrations. I use Canson paper, illustration board, and white glue, to build 3D illustrations which can be photographed, for print, or framed (in custom shadow boxes).

My simplified process for creating 3D cut paper art.

These are close-up shots of the "Legend of Sleepy Hollow" "Read" illustration, where you can get a better idea of the dimensionality of the elements. You can also see the Foamcor supports, beneath the lettering. The supports can't be seen from t he front, only the sides. A shadowbox frame helps prevent people from see the designs from an angle which would reveal the supports.
